Mission

It is my mission that the individuals and families I work with feel supported, respected, and truly understood. That they are given space to explore their relationship with food, their body, and themselves without judgment or pressure. I approach nourishment with curiosity and flexibility  rather than rules and rigidity.

Over time, I hope those I work with feel more connected to their body’s needs, more confident in their choices, and more at ease in their everyday experiences with food.  I take into account each individual's lived experiences and provide intentional, trauma-informed care that is grounded in compassion.

MS, Nutrition Intern

I’m Christiana, founder of Nutrida, and I’m so glad you’re here. Nutrida is a family-focused nutrition practice rooted in curiosity and connection. I support children, families, and individuals in meeting their unique nutrition needs while building positive relationships with food and their body; especially when mealtimes feel stressful or overwhelming. I believe true nourishment goes far beyond what’s on your plate. It’s about caring for your body, honoring your needs, and creating meaningful connections around food.

My work is grounded in a Health at Every Size® (HAES) and weight-inclusive approach. I support individuals who are experiencing disordered eating or a complicated relationship with food and their body. Together, we will focus on building trust within and creating a more peaceful, sustainable relationship with food without shame or rigid rules.

As a former elementary school teacher, I bring a unique, child-centered lens to my work with families who are navigating feeding challenges. I help parents feel confident in modeling healthy habits, supporting their child’s autonomy, and curating mealtimes that are enjoyable and nutrient-dense. My approach is compassionate and realistic, meeting families where they are.

In 2019, I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Towson University. My professional path began as an elementary school teacher. In 2022, I spent a year teaching English in Sevilla, Spain. This experience deepened my appreciation for food not only as a source of nutrition, but as a powerful source of connection, culture, and community. I continued my education by earning a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (which has since been integrated into Notre Dame of Maryland University). This journey inspired me to start my own practice, where I could combine my love of teaching, nutrition, and meaningful connection with others.

Today, as a future Certified Nutrition Specialist & LDN, I blend nutrition science with mindful, hands-on learning to help clients build skills that support lifelong wellness. Whether you’re a parent seeking support at the dinner table or someone looking for personalized guidance on your own journey, I’d love to support you.
